A crying baby is always comforted and we must ascertain why the baby is upset and make sure he or she is at all times a happy baby.

Each and every child is different and their time to adjust with the Nursery daily lifestyle may vary, each child’s individual needs are understood and addressed.

If your child should become sick during the Nursery day, Emerald City Nursery Nurse will care for your sick child in the Nursery Clinic until you collect your child from the Nursery.

We remain within the staff /  child ratio perimeters approved by the Ministry of Social Affairs:
Baby Room 1 -3
Toddler Room 1-4
2-3 year olds 1-5
3-5 year olds 1-8

Being in the heart of Jumeirah and also as Dubai is a fantastically multicultural city Emerald City Nursery has Nursery children from many different countries - sometimes as many as 30 different nationalities!

By the time the children have taken part in all the different Nursery activities soon after finishing their lunch they are actually ready for a little nap, however, if they don’t want to sleep that’s absolutely fine too.

A variety of different activities - arts & crafts, literacy, baking, drumming, yoga, physical play, music, role-play and many more.  Parents are always kept up to date by their child’s classroom teacher as well as the useful information written in the Nursery’s Fortnightly Diaries and Topic Letters.

It is always unfortunate when children miss some of their Nursery days due to illness, however, sometimes parents like to keep informed of the activities and learning programs their children are missing so if their child would like to and feels well enough they can enjoy the same kind of activity at their home.

As Dubai is such a multicultural city many times children start Nursery without having English as their language. Young children are fast learners and will very quickly learn and understand their new language.

Prospective parents are always welcome to visit the Nursery, we keep in mind strict safety and security for the Nursery children, and therefore, all visitors must seek permission at the Nursery office and visitors can only enter into the Nursery rooms accompanied by Nursery staff.

We are currently looking into the possibility of providing transport, however, Emerald City Nursery has extended hours with the day starting at 7.00am and finishing at 6:00pm which provides more choices for drop off and pick up times.

We pride ourselves in having a multicultural team of professional staff from many different countries, our Nursery Manager is from Scotland.
